Hillcroft Services, a client who received pro-bono communications work from my team and I in Cardinal Communications' second annual CreateAthon event, received a communications audit in conjunction with other communications deliverables we produced throughout the night.
Media Coverage Report
BSU at the Games
Summer and fall 2016, I assisted Ball State University Department of Journalism's program BSU at the Games, a program that sends journalism students to the Olympics to cover the Games, on their public relations home team. After the Games, I was tasked with developing the media coverage report, capturing media placements covering the students and their work from the trip.

In my role as student communications writer for Ball State University Marketing and Communications, I've assisted in staffing multiple press events and interviews on campus. I work with journalists visiting campus to cover an event or interview a student for a feature and ensure that their needs are met and that all parties involved have a smooth experience. Design asssitance
Cardinal Communications - Student Government Association + Minnetrista Farmers Market
Student Government Association, a client of Cardinal Communications whose team I was on, requested print postcards containing information about the local Minnetrista Farmers Market to distribute to students on campus to entice them to attend. I helped in gathering content for this print piece and worked with a Cardinal Communications designer to ensure the branding and content was appropriate and met the client's standards.

In the spring of 2016, I worked with a fellow Cardinal Communications freshman at the time to plan the entire annual spring trip for CC members. We planned visits with agencies in Chicago, organized hotel stays and restaurant accommodations and led 20 members safely across the streets of Chicago.
Facing Addiction in Madison County Event
Department of Journalism - Ingelhart Scholars Program
In the Department of Journalism's 2016-2017 Ingelhart Scholars Program, I helped lead the public relations team. Over the year, the program worked to bring light to the issue of addiction in Delaware and Madison county. We discussed the issue by producing a book with firsthand experiences of those who face addiction. My biggest role as public relations team leader was planning an entire event for the county of Madison, Indiana, to display our entire program's work for the year. I worked with a partner, Aspire Indiana, to ensure their needs were met since they funded us financially, and I organized the entire event from location, to program design, to run of show, refreshments, etc.
