Ball State Students Design Exhibit for the Delphi Opera House (1)

A group of Ball State students worked on an exhibit design for Indiana's Delphi Opera House, and I sent each of their hometown media a release on their project involvement. The Reporter, Greenfield, Indiana, took interest in the story and ran my original content.

This was another instance in which my Delphi Opera House release scored a placement. A journalist from Fort Wayne's Journal Gazette took my release a bit further by interviewing the student and drafting her own copy.

Geof Bradfield, Delmark Records, plays Constellation Chicago (1)

The Silverman Group - Delmark Records

Delmark Records, a client of The Silverman Group and the oldest American jazz and blues independent record label, had Geof Bradfield play a concert at Constellation in Chicago, and my email pitch to Clef Notes regarding this concert scored a calendar placement in their weekly newsletter, Snippets. (See mention of his concert at the bottom of newsletter.)

This was another placement I received for Geof Bradfield's concert at Constellation in Chicago. I pitched Geof Bradfield's concert to The Local Tourist's calendar, and it featured it in its weekend picks emailer.

Summer 2018 Dean's List

Ball State University

After every semester, Ball State Marketing and Communications sends our statewide media lists a link to see which students from their county made the Dean's List. The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana, ran a list of their Dean's List students from the summer 2018 term.

DANCE! Muncie After-School

Ball State University and The Department of Theatre and Dance

DANCE! Muncie After-School is a program put on by a Ball State's Department of Theatre and Dance that teaches Muncie Community Schools' youth how to dance for free. I wrote a story covering this program featured here in the Muncie Journal, which was one location that this story appeared. A fun twist to this placement is that I was a part of this program. I independently taught 25 youngsters how to dance once a week for eight weeks.

"That One" International Film Festival in Muncie, Indiana

Ball State University and their Immersive Learning Program

"That One" International Film Festival debuted in Muncie, Indiana, and Ball State was affiliated through an immersive learning program. I drafted a release for the university that was picked up by the Muncie Star Press.

"Conservation Tales" Manatee Research and Children's Book (1)

Ball State University

A group of students at Ball State conducted research on manatees in Florida and developed an educational children's book to showcase their research as part of a book series called "Conservation Tales." The Dubois County Herald in Indiana presented this information by featuring one of the students from their county who was involved.

Another outlet, WBRI, a radio station in Southeastern Indiana, picked up my release and featured it on their website, covering a student involved in the "Conservation Tales" from their county.

Ball State University and Immersive Learning

Ball State University students traveled to the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea to cover the games with official media credentials. WBIW of Lawrence County, Indiana, was interested in two of their native's stories and experiences, and took my release for their website.

Northwest Indiana Times was also interested in my release covering one of their natives and put my BSU at the Games copy on their website.

The Muncie Star Press picked up Grace Hollars' story, using my release for primary information, and published a feature of her experience photographing the 2018 Winter Games.

My original release, covering Ball State University's induction into Delaware County's BY5 Network, made its way to Muncie Star Press' website.

Ball State Student Involved in Production of University's Centennial Documentary

For Ball State University's Centennial in 2018, telecommunications majors produced a documentary highlighting Ball State's proud past of 100 years and the bright future ahead. Ryan Shank, one student involved in the project, had media interest from The Elkhart Truth that resulted in a media placement on their website, all thanks to my release.

Ball State Student Studies Building for Extreme Environments in Northern Cascade Mountains

Ball State University

Jennifer Pease, Ball State student, traveled to the Northern Cascade Mountains for a class that studied Architecture in Extreme Environments. Her hometown paper, Zionsville Times Sentinel, interviewed her and ran her story online thanks to the release I distributed.

In spring 2018, 13 students graduated from Ball State with a 4.0 GPA, the highest grade-point average a student can receive. One of Madeline Atkinson's hometown media, The Times of Hamilton County, picked up her story thanks to my release covering her.
